I’m the idiot using my bicycle on the rain where the bikers took their cars. It hasn’t rained in a while, so the streets were dirtier than a non-radio version DMX song. The back of my shirt looks like a jackson pollock painting.
I may need a new rear tire....

Bicycling in the rain is a special kind of hell. I recall in college I biked to class everyday since there was no parking at school and it was only about a mile anyways. I remember one day it was downpouring and I figured I would get more wet by trying to walk for that long in the Rain. So I biked in and holy crap did I get wet. Plus the brakes not working AT ALL was extra fun indeed.

You know, there’s a thing called mudguards... Or check out the Ass Saver if you want to go minimalistic.

I do have mudgards on my other bike, but a broken hanger has kept me from using it, but since I live in a country where absolutely nothing works, I ordered a hanger months ago and it’s still stuck in customs

You do need to keep the brakes clean... it’s kid of weird with disks because it’s nothing...nothing...nothing...FULL STOPPING POWER.

I guess the disks and the friction material get cleaned faster than the rim and the clamps...
They are good... Disks last a lot longer without needing a new set of friction material than clamps
